Applied Therapeutics Sensitive Skin SPF 25 Moisturizing Sunscreen Lotion is the ultimate in sun protection for patients who want to avoid organic sunscreens. It has been formulated with Z-COTE® transparent zinc oxide, the most advanced sunscreen ingredient available, and T-COTE® Microfine Titanium Dioxide. Applied Therapeutics Sensitive Skin SPF 25 Moisturizing Sunscreen Lotion contains no organic chemical sunscreens or fragrances-two of the ingredients most commonly associated with adverse reactions.

Not all sunscreens are created equal. In fact, most do not block long UVA radiation. The term "broad spectrum," so often seen on sunscreens, actually means very little. The FDA is drafting more relevant labeling laws, but these will not be in effect for some time. Today, the labeled SPF number is a measure of protection against UVB and only some short UVA, but not long UVA. These long UVA rays are now known to cause photo-aging and are likely to be involved in the more aggressive skin cancers, such as melanoma. Last year, the American Academy of Dermatology made its recommendations to the FDA in regard to criteria for Broad Spectrum Labeling. Applied Therapeutics Sensitive SPF 25 Moisturizing Sunscreen Lotion already exceeds the AAD's proposed criteria.

To achieve high SPFs, manufacturers have traditionally used the organic chemical sunscreens with or without miner-based agents such as Z-COTE®. High SPF mineral-based sunscreen products have not been widely marketed because they tended to be very white and cosmetically inelegant-until now. Using our own proprietary technology, Applied Therapeutics Sensitive Skin SPF 25 Moisturizing Sunscreen Lotion is a cosmetically superior moisturizing lotion that contains no organic ?chemical? sunscreens. It is based on Z-COTE®, the ingredient invented by the staff at Applied Therapeutics. Additionally, Applied Therapeutics Sensitive Skin SPF 25 Moisturizing Sunscreen Lotion contains powerful antioxidants and hydrating ingredients to further benefit the skin. It is ideal for patients who need to avoid traditional sunscreens or for those that simply want the best protection available without exposure to organic chemical sunscreen agents.
